Mercury has their own label of fogging oil, probably triple the price of any other brand......
Has anyone ever heard of this- one of my neighbors (an older gent) said they used to use ATF instead of fogging oil and never had problems. Seems like ATF would foul plugs and gum up the intake tract (carbs only) Anyone??
Thanks,
Rich

Actually, ATF is very high in detergents and will actually burn off carbon deposits.
Make your own fogging oil. Mix up some Marvel's Mystery Oil and 2 cycle oil and slowly drizzle down the carb with the engine running. Personally though, I have never fogged my engines for winterization.
