That's awesome! For years Teague says no synthetic, it causes bearing skate and doesn't work with roller lifters, blah blah blah.. Then along comes Amsoil and synthetic's great! But only Amsoil 'cause the other stuff's too slippery.. and who wants slippery oil right? right? No, wait.. uh..
If he was having trouble beating up lifters he probably should have looked a little deeper instead of blaming an oil that's been proven for years in the most demanding endurance races in the world.. I think you'd be fine with the M1 15-50 or 20-50.

You can't really find it many places. She takes 10 gallons a side. I could special order it but was told not to bother.
Both my diesel Mech and one of the larger diesel distributers say 400 40W so that is what I use. They purr.

Kendall 50wt or AMSOIL 15w50 Dominator
We recommend Kendall 50wt for ALL of our Engines or AMSOIL 15w50 DOMINATOR (Not just because they are a sponsor, but because it works)! I do not recommend any other synthetic other than the Dominator, to slippery for a hydraulic roller.
In reality you can you any oil that you want, just dont' try to pull the warranty card if it doesnt work, haha. Everyone has their own preference to a quality oil and that is perfectly fine! Above is our recommendation!

Been running Mobil 1 in hydraulic roller marine engines for 12 years with zero lifter issues.
