Default 1987-91 Formula SR1 28 to 32ft

Im looking for a good older formula sr1, twin. i think they are great platforms and solid and safe for family. My question is how In-efficient would this type be for the occasional water skiing weekend. don't forsee much of it, but it will happen. Thanks!

I have a buddy with a '96 303 SR-1 that pulls his kids tubing behind it all the time.

They work fine for general watersports, but I wouldn't want to try to run a course with it! Tubing, wakeboarding, and just skiing around is fine. My brother was actually able to surf the wake with no line. Tons of fun!

Just make sure you have a long enough ski rope.

I used to pull my brother in law with a '89 F311SR1 with 650 HP blower motors. The boat would be on plane before he was up and out of the water. Tabs all the way down and a wake you would not belive.

I once slalom skied behind a F-357.......not really fun but I can say I did it (at 60 mph).
