Bet that will be a tough one........
Most I know stay with Cig or have gone to OL or cats as Nor-Tech does not have the performance traits of the others; but then again I'm not the one who finds it "shocking" as you put it...I think that comment is flat out ridiculous. But for one Tracy is looking to get out of his 43V and into the 39 Cig...

And for the record I think Nor-Tech has a wonderful product and I'm not trying to put it down in any way. Bob's Predator boat is awesome for what it is (he also has a Donzi), and I really like Alec's CC.

But "shocking" REALLY???? save the drama for your mama.

Cig has great history, #1 and everything but hasn't really evolved as a manufacturer and it has hurt their retention rates. They haven't come up with a new performance boat in years and the amenities on board are stuck in 1988. NT/OL/others are capturing the market when Cig owners want more or like in this thread want a change (Ilmor power).

NT has probably built more large performance cats (36 ft+) in the last 8-10 years than anyone. They have a perfect all around package, so while they don't race and don't always have the fastest they still are at the top of their game.

Plus they have rockstar customer service which no doubt helps retain customers. Have you ever heard a bad C.S. story about them? How many times have people noted that Terry and the NT gang went out of their way to help even when they are a non-NT client? NT even takes boats back for remodeling of paint/interior/power yet Cig is hard pressed to get you anything once the boat is 2-3 years old (Phil excluded from this comparison of course).

I suspect NT/OL would build you any boat you want with Ilmor power and even throw in an enclosed head rather than a sh!tter box in the middle of an 80's vinyl coated cabin with an igloo cooler strapped down in the corner (of course w/logos on everything!).

When it comes to spending 500K on a 40 ft boat you put 100 hours a year on and can't sleep on a lot of things matter other than the logo on the side........

if I go sport boat again, Id probably would get my 4th NorTech, best riding boat Ive been on....and Ive been on them all.. but would also check out the 41 Pantera. Im also leaning towards the NorTech 39CC w 3/350's. Its hard to beat a company as good as NT for an over all great product.

Get a life...do you really know what Cig's retention rate is compared to the other brands? Lets see the numbers. "Probably" built more "performance" cats...NT isn't even in the same conversation as Skater or MTI when it comes to "performance"...so where are the numbers? You want an enclosed sh!ter? Go buy a Sea Ray. So you gonna bash Skater and Mystic too for the lack of a f'ing "enclosed" toilet?

You are certainley entitled to your opinion of what particular brand lights your fire, I could care less. The fact is people change boats all the time because they have different needs. Is it really "SHOCKING" that someone might want to move from a Nor-Tech V to a 39 Cig??? I think not...you have no credibility here...now go back to your cute little Sunsation, turn up your Justin Beeber CD's and jerk off on your NT brochure.

Stupid people, they're everywhere...and the thing is they don't even know they're stupid.

As far as having "been on them all"...well OK I guess you are now officially my f'ing hero...I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy. Next time I'll just skip the sea trial and PM you.

And I thought "whats he got now" was the question?

Keep on topic.

No hero, just call a spade a spade. Whats with all the animosity towards everyone that does not own a Cig. There are other choices. Speed is not everything, but since you mentioned it ..in your class size boat, the Hustler Rocket is by far faster, rides similar, has more headroom, and an enclosed sh!tter, for the times that your so full of yourself, and cant quite make it to the dock..

Wrink the 37 AT is also a nice boat, especially for the coin involved..BTW, did you get to ride on both in KW..
