Default Moving from salt to fresh

Hi All,

Just purchased a boat that has spent its whole life in fresh water. It's now moving to the Virgin Islands in salt. Anything I should be mindful of on the engines (Mercury 250 xs') when going from fresh to salt?

Thanks for any advice.

zincs are usually different, other than that just flush it out after every use.

if you have fat shaft lowers, the prop shafts rust and then break if not cared for. Buy some corrosion X and flush and rinse like he said.

I use Salt-Away when I flush as do most of the other saltwater boaters on this site.
