Default 12 Volt DC air conditioner...seems awesome for powerboats

anybody had any first hand experience with this???? Air only cannot be reversed. It would be enough to just cool the cabin a little and not have to run a generator.

I don't have the name, but Concept puts a unit in that runs off of ice and seems to work well.

I've been following the DC versions for a while. They do seem to be improving but IMO not there yet. The best I could tell is if you have "house" batteries just for the AC unit, set the t.stat to the most efficient setting, went to bed @ midnight and got up @ 6:00 AM you'd get up to two dead batteries. T.stats on timers might solve this but don't think I saw them yet??
I love the idea. Set to cool early then back off through night and back to cool at early AM.
