Yes Sean It should officially be mine on friday. My buddy took it in trade for his boat last week and his shop is right next to mine so I got it:) I guess it was meant to be. I should have waited until I found out what I was getting before I got the truck, you want a 2002 duramax crewcab dually?:D

Ike 05-15-2002 05:53 PM

Dreamcatcher, They told me march 02 then april 02 then maybe august and I could not wait so I had them machined to fit.

26scarab 05-15-2002 06:23 PM

Dude,
What an awesome looking rig ! I can't figure which is going to look cooler... the boat in the water or the truck towing the boat !

candyman35 05-16-2002 03:48 AM

Ike,
Nice boat! I've seen War Party here in Chicago. That is one awesome boat.

Did you reprogram the computer for the 285's? I have a 2500HD and need to upgrade my tires.

Dan

fred 05-16-2002 06:35 AM

War Party belonged to a guy in Mich. named Ted....did he trade it to your buddy and what boat did he end up with?....Fred

Ike 05-16-2002 08:51 AM

Thanks candyman35, I did not touch anything after i put on the tires and had no problems at all, feels normal after 800 miles.
Fred, Ted ended up with a 99 45ft wellcraft excaliper, very nice.
26 scarab thanks, somtimes its more fun just getting to the ramp.:D

fred 05-16-2002 09:08 AM

Ike, did the Apache come with the I think they were 572's in it? I thought that was what was in it last time I saw it in Mi. last 4th of July....also, do you know what that boat and trailer weigh?....just curious......Fred

Sean 05-16-2002 09:22 AM

Ike, Awesome boat man...I have been looking at that boat forever...certainly one of the nicest airbush jobs I have ever seen! Congrats and good luck with it.!

Fred...I was just reminded of you...the fridge in the big Wellcraft is a Norcold, but I coudn't tell what model it is. Hope this helps.

Sean

Ike 05-16-2002 11:36 AM

Fred same engines but they are now 588's and I think the combo is around 16,000lbs.

dyno 05-16-2002 11:52 AM

Ike fresh power right????I think there were issues last season...Dave wesseldyke usually did the wrenching on it.... hope he got you some fresh power to go with that great looking hull!Damn we are going to miss it in west Michigan...

fred 05-16-2002 12:16 PM

Sean, I need to know what model# the Norcold is.....it should be inside of the door when opended....please.....Thanks...Fred

fred 05-16-2002 12:26 PM

Ike, I was just wondering about the weight as I picked up an Wellcraft Excalibur Hawk 40 and they (Wellcraft) say the boat is 8,500# dry 10,500# wet, with the aluminum trailer at 2,300# that puts it at 12,800#....I think that may be on the light side of what the actual weight really is though, Its nice to know I'm not the only one towing a 40'+ boat around,...I am going to take it to the scales and get a actual weight on it, I tow with a Ford F-350 crew-cab dually diesel and didn't seem to tow to bad on its maiden adventure home in Mi. from Ohio, (about 130 miles) how does that 41' Apache tow behind that new Chevy?....Fred

Sean 05-16-2002 12:30 PM

No Prob, Fred, I'll take another look on Saturday...

fred 05-16-2002 12:33 PM

Thanks Sean, I would really appreciate it, then I have to try to find one of those models somewhere......Fred

Ike 05-16-2002 05:50 PM

Dyno, they are fresh off the dyno.:)

Ike 05-16-2002 05:55 PM

Fred, I hav'nt towed it yet I was hoping to take it down to the ramp this weekend but the weather does not look good.

WarParty41 05-16-2002 08:01 PM

Ike....
If you put War Party in the water without me, the sale is off. That was part of the deal. Oh yeah, by the way......what do I do with this screen name

boot 05-17-2002 12:16 AM

Hey Ike ,NIce package ! Where will you run the boat at ? Would love to see it in person .I have seen many pictures of it . HOpefully get mine done soon .Maybe see you on the water . Good luck with it !

fred 05-17-2002 06:44 AM

Ike, let us know how it towed when you have the chance, when I brought mine home two Fridays ago the fastest I went was 65 mph (on the freeway), it has tounge-surge brakes that seem to work well just didn't feel too safe towing that much rig any faster....Fred

Ike 05-17-2002 08:36 AM

Boot, I may have to get the chip and exhaust off of you sooner than I thought. I will be running on the chesapeake and delaware river, maybe we will meet at the Nauti Goose or Chesapeake Inn some time.:)

boot 05-17-2002 09:33 AM

Ike ,I don't know what the nauti goose is but it sounds like trouble ! See you there !:D

If you want more info on the chip e-mail me . JOE
