Extreme Tenders
Hey guys,
I'm working on a story for Yachting magazine looking at extreme tenders for big yachts and just wondered what you've come across in your travels.
Thanks,
Eric Colby

Bobby Saccenti built a gorgeous all black 36' (I think) Apache with an all tan interior. It was a tender for a huge yacht.
It was an absolutely gorgeous Apache! There are pictures of it somewhere here on OSO with Bobby at the helm.

Bull Roar was the name. There is a pic of it on the davits too.

Here's one I like
I agree the side scoops are too low, but the design can be stretched for the 200'+ megayachts;

Oh I have seen quite a few sick tenders in the past. Whether they are considered extreme, depends what you are looking for.
The two nicest I have seen are the one for the 197 Elandess. The guys I was working with on the boat said that it was 600,000 euro's and 30ft. it was gorgeous. The new yacht Cakewalk has a few. During the Lauderdale show they had I think it was a riva that was sick sitting tied up to it in the intercoastal. Since we are on OSO here, The yacht Mia Elise has a sweet set up 39 midnight express with quad 300's, which is my style for sure.
LGB had the cruiser and the sailboat sitting on the back, I think they were both about 60ft, but I could not get too close because they were parked in port everglades. Most of the really cool tenders are not in the States.

Eric,
Many different examples and styles. Define EXTREME;

Call Grant or Peter P

They have actually built/rigged at least two wally tenders.
Deep Impact has made some very nice "off the shelf tenders" for clients down here as well.

Herb Chambers built a 39 Midnight w/quad 300's for his Yacht Excellence. But the Midnight was too tall, wouldn't fit so he sold it. The electronics on the 39 were insane, they matched the stuff on the big boat for ease of use!
