|
Thanks for sharing Jim. The boat looks awesome! :D
I too splashed last night and had a blast ... didn't get anywhere near the 80 that you talk about, I think it was about 65 but it's the best we've had lately! |
I agree, I love the cafe's!!:D :D
My personal opinion is that you cant beat the line of a CIG, and the 35 foot models are just about perfect in terms of symmetry (sp?) Congrats, I know you will have a blast this summer!!:D |
Thanks all, It was a blast. Spent the night in it Saturday and slept like a baby. This boat is so smooth it drives like a Cadillac. All of my expectations were exceeded.
Sean - Can't wait to here how your splash goes. :D :D :D |
Jim, Boat looks great! You did a great job with the graphics.
|
Beautiful Boat and Nice Pics!!!
Looks like the weather in the NW is even better than the NE lately! :p :D |
The weather has been great lately, the tides have sucked though.

Go - Go - Go my Cigarette Bro's
Jim, makes me think back when I first splashed mine .... ahhhh yeah. Sean, I don't know how you've managed to keep the boat on the trailer for all this time ... I'm sure you'll let us know when and how that first day goes. Back in the old NewsGroup, when I first mentioned I was looking for a Cafe, I caught a lot of flack about how slow and heavy the Cafe was. Boy am I glad I didn't let that sway me away. The Cafe is an awesome boat to own, especially if you boat in areas where the water can go from 1'-2' in the morning to 4'-6' in the afternoon, like offshoreonly in the Pacific. I'm dialed in to 75+ mph and even though I still want more, 70+ in 4'-6' is moving out for a little 35 footer. |
"Little 35 footer"!? :D Gary, you make me laugh man....35' boat is not small!
Jim, wait until you get that thing in some rough water...That's when that boat comes alive! That stuff you're running on in the pics is too smooth! Looks great...Gotta love the cafe racer. Tank |
Tank .... remember who I run with .... a few Top Guns, big Scabs, big Fountames and now Kenny, with his monster. Sometimes I do feel like a little fish ;)
|
Yea, but you're always runnin out front, so who cares!? I have an idea....buy a gun or a tiger and sell me your boat!!;) ;) :D
|
Yeah...I can't wait myself, but she's gotta be just right before I drop her in for her maiden voyage here in the NE!
Congrats again to Jim! Hey Gary, what power do you have? BTW, good post on that other thread Tank...sometimes I get in the mix and sometimes I stay out depending on my mood, but yer absolutely right...! |
Man she's Breath taking!!!!
I wish may I wish i might get the Cig in witch i dream tonight.... |
A friend with a Bayslammer was taking pics and video taping so I had to stay in some calm waters for him:p
As soon as I get a little more comfy with the boat, I plan on finding some ferry waves or tugboat waves. It can get pretty rough out in the shipping channel too. I couldn't find anything where I was this weekend that even made the boat think about leaving the water. Could have been drinking out of a wine glass and left it on the dash.:D God I love the ride. |
Congrats Jim, Boat looks great. I can't wait to get mine in. I should have it ready for Memorial day weekend. Now if the weather would get about 50 we will be happy.

Tank. in my dreams I'm always running out front  Trust me, I am trying to figure out how to get into a Gun or Tiger. Right now, my problem is, I can't afford to double my monthly and the Cafe has been real sweet to me lately.
Sean, I am running somewhere around 520-540hp. They were built by Vern Gilbert at Gentry Marine Power. I didn't do the dyno but I have about 75 hours on them so far and they are still running strong. |
Nice looking Cafe! I've always liked them.
|
Beautiful boat. I agree, there is just something about a Cig that really blows my dress up!:D
|
Congratulations NW JIM!
The first day out is always the best feeling! I'm sure you'll enjoy 'er the whole summer too!!! |
NW Jim---
I have always liked the lines on those Cafe's...very sharp and clean looking boat you have there! |

Looks good Jim,
Wish we would have known, could have come out to get some more pictures for you. Hope to see it on the water again soon. Caleb |

|
Cafe Racer
Well it's a little late but congrats on the splash. I've got a few "modifications" that I hope to have finished in about two or three weeks, then it's back in the saddle for the Surgin' General.
Hope your Cig knocks em' down all summer long.... |
Looking real Good !! good luck.
