Oh... Didn't you hear?...... BAJA is the new Blackthunder :party-smiley-004: :ernaehrung004:

And I just so happen to have a 40 OUTLAW for sale :drink:
It is listed in the classifieds....

Guess I never noticed that the Classified didn't list Black Thunder's, in the past I believed they did... I know of one a red, white and blue 2002 with 575SC's down at the lake that the bank just sold for $62.5K less than half of what they had it listed for... Steal of the year in my book...

Was that the repo with the blown motor? Used to be up past broken arrow in those condos in the back of the cove on the right?

Steal of the year were the two boats of Jenkins's that were Collateral for a loan and the Bank called the note. Those two boats really went for peanuts although seemed like buddies of the banker bought them because they were never listed.

Josh, It was up at Advanced when I stopped by last Monday. I don't think either of the motors were blown, they were going through everything for the buyer.

This was the one that was sitting up and Double Diamond for a couple of years and the bank took it over while it was sitting up there for sale... Either way that's a lot of boat for as you say peanuts...

Not sure who bought it, Steve with Advanced might know I'll ask him about it next time I'm down... My guess is it's probably closer to the North Shore near the the 4mm if they are the ones working on it for the buyer but it could be going anywhere...Jim

I bought it. I'm at the 5mm. I have had a 32 BT since 2002. Engines will need freshening soon, lots of odds and ends, and a good bath. Otherwise pretty happy. Actually took it out that Monday. Now have spring fever real bad. Have the 32 for sale and 10000 poly. Also looking for a 17 or 18 poly or galvalift.

Congrats. I have had great luck in the past dealing with Dave Hotz and dock realty for lifts. I have both purchased and sold through them and had a very pleasant experience.

I used Jason at lake lift for installs and he did a great job and built me a nice transom platform for changing props and cleaning the transom.

Best of luck with the new ride and spring will be here before we know it.

I have a 17.000# galvalift at the 19mm if you're interested.

Thanks to all. Definitely looking forward to spring. I am interested in the lift. PM me with exact details. Tanks, width, backin, etc. BTW that is Steve from Advance not me.

Nice i am the 14mm if you r comming from the 5mm i am on the right side stop by this summer!!

FuelinAround 01-12-2011 06:02 PM

There hasalwaysbeen a bt section in classifieds... It's on my short list of boats.... There just is hardly never any for sale... An older one with trips that performance marine has had forever usually popsup occasionally. IMO these are one of the hardest boats to find for sale.

black thunder 46 01-12-2011 06:25 PM

If u r on the main channle dont get a back in i have used a pull in Econo for my 43bt and my 46bt

Most of us other than the owner / dealers tend to hang on to them for quite a while. I've had my 320 since 02.

I can see your point as getting pushed around in the main channel while docking is tough. We are back in far enough (I hope) that I am gonna try the back in. For entry and cleaning I think it will be easier. Let me know if I'm missing something.

FuelinAround 01-12-2011 09:51 PM

Let me tell you the one reason it keeps falling backwards on my short list is the fact the company seems to be struggling... I guess on boats it's not as huge of a deal with other things but I love being able to call the original guys who built my boat with questions....there is one I have seen at loto called "bi polar" and it's gorgeous

I definitely would not let BT as a company make you cautious about a purchase. The support they have given me as a customer who has yet to purchase a boat directly from them has been great. They have went out of their way and even had parts brought to the lake for me. As far as their current situation, I spoke with Shane this week and like all builders they are hunkered down and weathering the storm. I think, however, they may be able to handle it better than most as their overhead appears low and they are doing things outside the marine industry to keep things going. Also from a service standpoint it is reassuring to know if I had a major issue I can take it back to the factory for repairs at a competitive rate. Just my experience and opinion.

FuelinAround 01-13-2011 12:20 PM

Appreciate that response.... Sounds like a tighter ship than I observed.... I think if they did a little more with their website it would help a lot, and make them look like they are building for the future... Just my 2 cents as a consumer
