He made quite the impression on my wife to be in Islamorada last year! We were hanging in the Tiki bar, quite drunk, and he questioned why we were getting married? A few minutes later he came over with three of his girls and said see, why would you want to get married? My now wife looked him straight in the eyes and said "When you got someone like me, you don't need three to get the job done!" I practically sh!t myself!!!
It was classic!

HA! That's awesome!!

i do stuff all the time that i think looks ugly...but making interiors the way I like them is not my job. I do what the costumer wants....sometimes i try to sway them into something that will look a bit better...but in reality the only person that need to like the style is the guy writing the check. Now the quality of this job looks second to non and when i do stuff that is what i like to focus on. Everything looks real tight no wrinkles at all...nothing looks over stretched. Great job...looks amazing....i have to ask how did you seal the LED's in the eyes of the skulls? Did you do seats, side panels and carpet in 200 hours?

SO WHAT DOES THE REST OF THE BOAT LOOK LIKE?? PICS??

Sydwayz 01-12-2011 06:28 PM

It's been around for a few years. You can see pics of it on the FPC site. It used to belong to Albert Haynesworth and was built in conjunction with Pier57.

LaughingCat 01-12-2011 06:42 PM

I hope those skeletons are not prophetic.

J.Borg 01-12-2011 06:42 PM

This interior took me by myself 200 hrs, because MTI decides to build the side panels in the boat. You have to remove all windshield and dash to re-skin the sides. What a pain in the ass. I'm a one man show and built one person at a time. Each head took 4 hrs. The Led lights are epoxied in as well as a hot glue seal. Thanks for all the complements. Shop is located in Cape Coral at Nor-Tech service center. Its a One stop shop,

mptrimshop 01-12-2011 06:50 PM

Looks great.... i don't think 200 hour is bad at all. I hear ya about how some pieces can kick your a$$ trying to get them out. Did you order the skull and bones peaces and sew them on or cut them out and sew them on....do you have any close up pics of the...i'm real interested in how you did that. Are they vinyl or ??
the do not appear to be embroidered... i one day wish to have the skillz (and customer that will let me) to do something that detailed. My hat is off to you sir

J.Borg 01-12-2011 07:31 PM

I have done everything by hand. All seats have an inlay in them and all heads and rib cages are different. That's all I will share. Thanks to the customer for letting me do what ever I wanted. Its not every day a job like this comes along. Thanks again Ken Armstrong. Hope there is a few more people like you out there. Jay from Cutting Edge.

J.Borg 01-13-2011 06:57 PM

More pics of the boat are coming up.

Thanks again on the feed back. This interior is not for everyone. I thought it fit the boat and finished its theme inside out. I was tired of putting a sports car interior in a sick boat. Road and track and powerboat magazines have the same type of stuff. Sometimes something different is good.

no its COOL, I LIKE IT!!!! NICE JOB. Art. ps.I am working on a designer rug for my 28 saber with fades in it. our rugs are made by hand each yarn is hand tuffed. done some wild homes with rugs in wool and silk$$$. but just had another surgery so it won't be done until spring. again nice work.

She was working the crowd good! That was on the way to the Naked Pirate on Saturday I believe

fireguy 01-14-2011 10:03 PM

That boat is sick... Fantaxtic job Jaime.

BTW, I am 44 and STILL listen to Iron Maiden.

Mastercraft240 01-14-2011 11:50 PM

Appreciate the craftsmanship.... but wow thats some freakin' ugly chit. If there was a way to overdo a boat-- that's it. Jesus christ.

socalstone 01-15-2011 12:27 AM

100% concur with mastercraft240. That is crazy hideous. But like many others said- different strokes... As long as the owner loves it, that's all that matters.

J.Borg 01-15-2011 06:33 AM

Thanks to all on the feed back. Most of all thanks Ken for letting me do the job. A really great guy and would do work for him anytime. Enjoy the pictures. Just finished 3 buckets for Nor-Techs New 52 cat will be shown at Miami boat show. Next project a 30 spectra cat re design and update. Show you progress pics next week. thanks Jamie from Cutting Edge.

wot 01-15-2011 08:10 AM

Adding a few costumes and expressions on each skeleton may provided depth/dimension to the theme. Not for me, but it's a hell of a lot nicer than our cockpits and that is one sweet ride! Great job, thanks for posting.
