I asked my builder about insulation today... He said he uses double bubble wrapped r7...but he could change to whatever... Anyone have any input on this? Said I could go to some other shops and look but he has had no sweating problems in them

I've got bubble wrap in mine. No sweating. Works pretty well but I'm not convinced it's great insulation.

Here's a link to sprayfoam...read up on it.

http://www.sprayfoam.com/spps/ahpg.cfm?spgid=1

Metal buildings have condensation issues and whatever type you choose, the installation of the insulation needs to be done in strict accordance with the mfg's specifications. I don't now the particulars of RHR's failure but the products are typically not to be subjected to freezing temps before installation; we are building a $4mm house and are definitely going the spray route.

Your shop is very nice but you probably would work out there more than I would. You also get colder winters than we do.Dec thru Feb is cold but after that its not bad.Plus we are a lot tougher out in JerseyBasically just looking for a building to keep the boat in,not even sure if I am doing it have not even cleared the tree's yet.
