There are a few good surveyors in Chicago and we recommend that all customers pay a licensed surveyor to inspect a boat before they buy whether here, another dealer or private party. The typical cost is 14-16 per ft and compression test or leak downs are usually additional.

Thank you so much for the post. I appreciate the info. We would be going from a single engine 28ft to this so it's a big jump. But hopefully everything will work out great!
