In addtion to the new boats we've had a fair number of "Brand Xs" run through our shop lately for makeovers.

Triple X
42 Fountain
34 Fountain CC
44 MTI Hellraiser

And now a former race boat 38 Donzi ZR comp.
Re-rigged the engine room and replaced the through the hatch tractor headers with transom exhaust.
Complete new interior with side panel storage, new dash,
stereo, intercom, etc and new graphics.
I don't have much in the way of before pics but here's a few and then after shots.

Keep us in mind for all of your complete restoration needs.

Yep. :drink:

Seriously, the pictures do not do the boat justice. Nor-Tech, Trond, Nils, Terry, and everyone else there did an incredible job, just incredible. I am really at a loss for words. Hopefully we will get some performance numbers over the weekend.

Thanks for the awesome comments. Again, the pictures really do not do the boat justice. The boat is at Innovation now getting engines prepped for the upcoming season. Hopefully, it will run as good as it looks. Before the re-rig, it ran 96.3 on GPS with 300 gallons of gas (long story) and three adults, two of whom are well over 200lbs! With the right props it should easily run 100+ on stock 525's, which as I understand it is quite a bit faster than the standard ZRC 525 boat. I am planning on attending the St. Pete Poker Run and hope to see you all there. In the meantime, I will post performance numbers as soon as I have some!

Tom A. 01-20-2011 02:48 PM

100 on 525's is very impressive but don't overprop it just for top end. Mine ran just around 100 when the 575's were stock.

The ZrComps can out accelerate any equally powered V bottom. It is awesome to pull up along side someone, both drop the throttles and walk away from them. Unless you are running for miles at top end, a few mph doesn't make that much of a difference.

Looks fantastic!!
