Well, I'm officially boatless!!
New buyer picked her up yesterday. Now I just need to work out the final details on the boat we applied for this week.
2001 Formula 37 SS Although the bank came back with an approval for $15K less than what I wanted. Told the sales lady the deal would probably fail if this doesn't change. I have the $$ for more deposit, but have never put more than $3000 down on boat purchases. Banks have always waived because of our credit. She then called me back and said good news, the bank raised your loan amount buy $10k. Great I said, it still is short and I've already made some calls on used 40' SS Now the sales lady is pissed at me because I might pass on the deal for $3-5000 extra cash down AND I started calling on used boats during the 1 hour time difference between her calls. So, hopefully I can have a new/newer boat by Mem. Day. |
Sweet ... congratulations on moving the Vyper and good luck with the new boat. Wish I was moving up too! :D

Nice de3al now just stay in the driver seat on the deal there are a lot of boats out there.

Hey 96vyper
Whats the best looking deal on a 400ss you've seen ???? I'm looking around at those if my 460 sea ray goes ....

Nice, good luck Vyper hope you're able to get the one you want....
|
Glad to here your deal went through! It is so much fun looking for a new one. I was wondering if you had put your vyper in yet, I guess not.
You better stay under 38' or sassy's might not rack it for you. Have fun |
JM There are a bunch of 40SS on the market. I talked to a guy today that can deliver a 2001 40 for $220. Would be titled as brand new. I don't want to spend that much money. My friend has his 2000 for @$210, so there are plenty. 1999's are offering the best deals though.
Ray, I took the boat out once for 4 hours, then I got the call. We closed the deal in 5 days. I'm dealing. My one buddy said I'm buying a station wagon if I get the Formula SS. |
Hey 96vyper
I just PMed you.

If you decide to go the PQ route let me know and I will share some details of my deal and others that I know of.

Your dealer salesperson should be working harder, not getting pissed.
God Forbid you shop around. Lay your numbers down that are acceptable, get backup deals working(letting them know the situation as well), and put the ball in their court to make it happen. Create your options and you will be happy that you got a deal acceptable to you. You can still put whipples on that 37SS AND still pass most boats out there (even while making a smoothie!!!!). And you thought it was easy to spend 200K!!!!:D They still want you to spend more |
