Corvette Cat - Destin, FL
Took a little cruise on Saturday down to the Destin Harbor for lunch and a few beers. On my way out of the harbor heading towards Ft. Walton Beach we saw what looks like a Corvette cat. He was running with a big Cig CC with quad 350's (an equally awesome ride). I have seen this boat before but never up close. He blew by us at about a million MPH's... Does anybody know what the story is on this boat, is it actaully a Corvette inspired boat? All I know is it was sweet and I did take a bunch of pictures and a video as it ran by us. I have no clue how to upload pictures on this site or I would... Let me know guys.

Its the Z06 theme boat from Miami Boat Show last year. 44MTI 6 seater with 1075's. It got some of the most detailed/custom rigging that supercat has done.
The owner also owns that new Cig CC, which I believe its the first open bow.
He has a beautiful vacation home in Destin

That's the boat... I thought it had some Z06 badges on it. I get to see some pretty serious hardware up here from time to time and that is right up there with the best of them...
The Cig was by for the nicest looking CC I have ever seen and that is saying alot when 75% of the boats around here are CC's. If there are anymore pictures please post up, I would love to get a closer look.

I stood right next to this boat or one just like it at the Shootout last summer. I'm sure it did not have 1075"s. They looked like late model Corvette engines. Not Big blocks. I certainly dont know all about these things but I think I know a 1075 when I see one. I suppose they could have been 1075 dressed to look like a vette engine.

Notice the 2 blowers resting under that cowling. No one would build a boat like this and put small blocks in it.

I just looked back at my pictures. Unfortunatly no pics of the engines. The boat does say 557x2. It was beautiful. Sounded different sitting there at idle. The transom was rounded like an older Vette. There were a couple of vents to let the exhaust out while at idle.

Now that's some detailed work. Engine covers, dash, everything. Very nice. I've seen the boat but never up close.

Judging by how it sounded when it roared past me (granted I'm not an engine guy) I would say that it did not have small blocks . It sounded like a 1000 harley's passing me at a billion miles per hour. Insane!!! I wanna go for a ride!!!
