$3.75.... My point was for the price of a barrel we should be paying @ least a $1 or less per gallon @ the pump

Oil is back to $87 similar to this time last summer but gas prices are still $1 more than last year, anyone able to explain why?

The problem with futures is they have a hard time figuring in on things like revolution in the Middle East and the mess in Libya.

Your prediction has been pretty good considering all the messes going on in the world right now

Cause people are still paying it?
Would you cut your price if you knew people would pay more and more?
I know I wouldnt.
People stop paying, price goes down, people keep paying price will never go down much if at all.
By the overwhelming amount of huge SUVs,Pickups and gas guzzling sedans I see on the road around here I would say people would keep paying even if it was $5+ a gallon, they just are unwilling to give up driving the biggest most powerful 3+ ton vehicles they can buy just to save money.

Yup...because they can, we're used to the higher prices now and nobody's storming the stockade so time to gouge. I understand that they buy tankers of oil at a certain price and it takes time to make it to the pumps but if anybody thinks that there isn't a big ass fu(cking going of I'll sell them a bridge (at inflated prices though).
