Summer around the corner
I am sitting here in my truck with the a/c running, looking out at a beautiful sunny day that is almost a boatable day. 60 degree's this weekend. It will not be long. I can't wait to back on the water so I will not have to get my fix at a keyboard.

From my end of things here in NorCal by Sacramento, it is in the 60's here too!
I'm slammin' on my boat trying to get it ready for paint by the end of next month... I'd be screwed if the weather wasn't as good as it is right now. I don't know how you guys do it when you have 2 to 5 feet of snow all around???? Right now, my boat is all but a bare hull. Motors and drives out to be cammed & refreshed, new dash, etc., etc. I am re-working or replacing everything from the cabin doors back. I'm thinking about leaving the windshield off and doing a custom cowl-like deal instead. Also, that modification would involve cutting down the top of the deck at the rear of the boat, cutting off completely were the "J" curve is (at the back sides of the windshield) and tapering that "cut" into the rear of the boat... I can easily handle it as I ran my own shop for over 20 years. I love the boat, but right now, without the windshield on, and if you squint real hard, damn it looks cool! LOL! |
