Outerlimits builds offshore speed boats from scratch and they hold many of the offshore records around the world. Mike Fiore, the president of the company, and I are friends and he was interested in building a (Funny Car) body. I give him all the credit because he funded the development of building this body to show that his company was capable of basically throwing their hat in the ring for future body programs, and not just for Ford. He picked Ford as the first body because of our relationship.”

I saw this up there, I thought for sure it was Tasca's but no one would say. I didn't realize how many bodies a team could go through, that's a lot of bodies to support al the funny cars that are out there - good luck!

Now that is smart. I applaud creative thinking, and risk taking, good for OL.

In today's economy, if your company isn't diversified, it will be tough to survive.

As the Marine Industry was coming to a huge slow down, I had to make sure I shot more than just boats..

I had started shooting Cars, ATV's, Motorcycles, Drags, Circle Track, Landscapes, Pets , Surfing and so much more to try to keep things steady in my business.

I noticed others are venturing out from their "norm" as the economy bites even harder.

Back when I was manufacturing boats, we had a sideline for building air filtration units for "Clean Rooms" where electronic circuit boards would be built in a dust free atmosphere. That was such a huge money maker over the boats and is what kept the company afloat at the time of building tooling in the off season.

For OL to get involved with the Drag Cars, it's a perfect match and I wish them the best !

Who knows, maybe one day I will be shooting their cars next !:drink:
