Congrats. I was told that the earlier (non stepped) cougars were faster due to the steps venting the air too far forward.

That being said I love my 84

All good brother. I've been perusing the classifieds lately and checking the cougar cat, schiada and addictors out. Let us know when the pricing comes together.

Hope you don't mind I linked this to riverdaves...those guys love minis it seems.

Brownie Made those molds in 1982, one of the first ones had a 650 motor cycle motor on it (I forget what brand) Steve Curtis was the test driver. The first ones didn't have the step in the tunnel and where a tad faster since they actually packed air, the step was added to let the rear squat and have a more nose up angle of attack and less likely to stuff or roll. I have flipped that boat in every possible way, Stuff, Endo, Over backwards, rollover ect. I was lucky enough to be the person that did the coastgaurd test where you pull the drain plugs and Wait. even when the whole boat sinks down to the deck the powerhead is still above the water, start it up and hit the gas, in about 10 minutes all the water drains out and it jumps on plane. Just remember to put the plugs back in :)

I guess thats a No! ....if its a possibility i can help w supply of the motor kits.

i seen on you tube a 20ft boat w a Busa motor....so i assume the same drive system could be used. The lighter gsxr motor would be better than the same HP more torque'y Busa motor.
