I'm a fan of the black, I think it looks good on almost all boats that have some black in their color scheme. However, damn the interior is hot after a couple hours in the hot summer sun!

Velocity Vector 02-15-2011 01:58 PM

Red

FIXX 02-15-2011 02:11 PM

Fixx

I would go with the lighter of the colors, the sun seems to fade the darker colors faster..

Knot 4 Me 02-15-2011 02:14 PM

What material? I've always been a fan of charcoal grey. Goes with everything.

Agreed!

JayFan 02-15-2011 04:02 PM

black

RT930turbo 02-15-2011 04:09 PM

I'll be the oddball and go Purple. It would look good with the graphics, and you could use a lighter shade that wont heat up or fade as bad.

kreed 02-15-2011 04:13 PM

Silver.........The darker colors attract LOTS of heat and fade much quicker. Justin, I had a red full cover last year on the Cig and went to the dock to go out, could barely touch the boat under the cover it was so hot!

I'm changing my vote.....SILVER. I agree with Kreed...too much heat and fading.

scottw 02-15-2011 04:29 PM

I had a black coccpit cover for my boat and bought a grey full cover and it is so much cooler inside the boat when I take it of as compared to when I use the black cover. I would choose a lighter cover.

97FASTech 02-15-2011 07:10 PM

Blue, Sunbrella products has 11 blues' too choose from. Depending on who you order from, they will send a swatch kit with all colors. Just ordered a Logo red for my FASTech. www.websweeper.com

1MOSES1 02-15-2011 07:13 PM

i am really stuck on purple or black...i dont know if a gray or charcoal would look good. my brother wants an electric blue color to match the blue streaks. i think even that would attract a lot of heat.

GoFastScott 02-15-2011 07:33 PM

Blue would be my choice also, bring out the blue on the boat some more, and not overly hot

JTeam 02-15-2011 07:42 PM

I think black would look the best, blue second, purple third and forget gray.

kickin32 02-15-2011 07:44 PM

I have a purple one and has not faded in 3 years it is sunbrella concord purple and does not get hot under the cover

Just had all new covers made last year. The cockpit and bow cover I went with charcoal gray sunbrella. The trailer cover is light gray.

Yellow

RunninHotRacing163.1 02-15-2011 09:50 PM

Purple will look great with those graphics

1MOSES1 02-16-2011 08:29 AM

thanks for the responses guys...i am still tossing around black or purple. i dont think gray or charcoal will look good.

any deep hue color is going to attract heat whether its blue, purple, red etc...the only way to get away from that is with silver, gray or white...which arent too appealing looks wise or dirt wise.

what are others using?

CrownHawg 02-16-2011 09:01 AM

capt2130, who made your covers? I have been wanting to get a cockpit cover made for my 32 Victory but didn't know who could get the dimensions and snaps right. Also, if you don't mind, how much were the covers?

SS930 02-16-2011 09:09 AM

I'd probably go with silver too. It might not look as good on day one, but it will hide the dirt and probably look better two years from now.

Exactly......and if the boat sits outside, it will cook with a dark cover. IVE BEEN THERE. Justin is going to go for what LOOKS good, but whos gonna see it when the boat is not in use??? Just my two wooden nickels.

XT-Innovator 02-16-2011 10:52 AM

Two tone! Purple center about 4' wide, and Black sides?

PokerRun388 02-16-2011 11:37 AM

Purple or Blue both good choices....black too hot and shows alot of dirt/dust.... :drink:

Yes

JayFan 02-16-2011 01:00 PM

I believe that's what I have on my 292 Justin.

That's the big name brand everyone uses. You pay a lot for the name. There are some knock-offs out there as well that should perform similarly or close to it, and obviously be a lot cheaper if you guys are on a real budget.

kjm5125 02-16-2011 01:45 PM

Sunbrella's Sapphire Blue, Formula probably has it in stock.

97FASTech 02-16-2011 06:22 PM

Yes, lightweight, warranty 10 years if maintained properly. I have purchased both bimini top and custom full boat cover. Concord grape would look good, just dark though.

We are going with black sunbrella marine canvas...thanks for the info guys.

MC-BOYS 02-16-2011 08:24 PM

Go with Black; will go with your imron pretty well. I got a full black cover off of i.boats.com about 4 years ago and the cover still looks new; no fade and no wear. The deck does get hot, but the helm is fine. Good luck
