Snap In Carpet, Any Advice on Product
Thinking of having a snap in carpet made for the boat. Anyone have any input on a good product that dries out well, is resistant to ground in stains and mildew, and comfortable to stand on.

most rugs out are between 22oz and 40oz. most snap in companies use rug from r&r textile, I did a one off outerlimits rug with fades 2yrs ago. out 88oz handmade rug no binding needed. but it costs twice as much to do. I will have a rug done for my saber in may. I want to do something wild. I have not marketed my rugs cause of all the
surgeries I have had over the last few years. our rugs for homes are silk or wool and can run over 100,000 for a rug. most are in the 5000 to 15000 range. but I am having a website being finished so this spring it will be done, even if I have another surgery next month. also should have the saber done too.Ijust got the sling off my arm last week. I'll try to post a pic of the ol sample rug the letters have a fade going through them.

Personally I wouldn't even use snaps. ( More Holes in the boat ).
Few years back I had carpet made for a friend of mines Sonic.
He has perelli flooring in it which gets hot on the feet now and then. A fella that works for S2 yachts does the carpet for there boats and has a outdoor marine carpet with an actual 60 mph lift rating on it.
I made a full cardboard template of the cockpit floor.
Cut the carpet to match and he took it back to S2 and sewed the binding on it.
Hands down one of the best improvements on the boat.
Boat has run atleast 90 mph with no issue's.
Besides where is it going to go with everyone standing on it?
