1995 46 cougar info
a friend of mine is looking at buying this boat , any one have info on this boat " speed , build quality , ect
doe's this boat have the same build quality as a 1980's cougar ? thank's mike link http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o36093-en.html |
Yes that is a well built cougar.
it has been stored in one of Chief Engines buildings for years. Only downside is the bravo drives,......there fine with the current power . It's a nice reliable everyday driver. However if the power is ever upgraded, I would put #6's on it at that point due to the weight of the boat along with what ever the upgraded power is at that point. Boat was always very clean. Seems if memory serves me the owner resided in Chicago? Good luck to your friend :drink: Jon |
thank's ,
anymore info would me great mike |
Ummmm...............he will be pretty bored anything under 70mph.
Cause it rides that nice :drink: Jon |

There was a 46 cougar in a boat yard in tyngsboro ma, it had no power and was caught up in some court battle anyone know it's fate.

who ever buys it will love the ride, but the bravos got to go. options are konrads and you would not need the ace with boxes like on most bravo boats. then you could do the top ends and get 600 to 650hp for 9 to 12grand for all 3. sm exhaust another7500. theres been deals on used konrads theres a pair with gimbals for 16000, in the swap I think. or look at rebuilt from kurt. that would be a nice set up, or put blowers on them get 750hp per motor.
