This outboard is a wonderful example of "adaptive innovation" and I totally respect the effort and and result. They have done what appears to be an excellent job of developing a complete product offering and it is now ready to be used and evaluated by the boating market and I wish them much success and I hope this package becomes widely accepted and used as performance power.
My opinion and comments about the economics of the package were posted to try and demonstrate the possible sustainability of the price level of such a power plant and and surmise how viable it may be in today's economic boat manufacturing climate. Not evaluating the product!
Only time and use will show whether this product has a real future in our industry. For them, I hope it does, they have a lot of effort and money invested in this outboard! Best of Luck to them!
As for Raylar developing and building a drive, "Ain't Eva Gonna Happen" I have just enough knowledge of drives to be sometimes dangerous! and I will leave drive development and building to the drive "Experts". Raylar will stay, grow and hopefully prosper in the arena we have most talent and successful history in, " ENGINES" !!
Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

I would have to expect and assume they tested that gear case and engine more than 5 minutes even before they strapped two on the back of that 38foot Intrepid. But only time and usage will tell.
