It has Sterling 700HP motors, TNT built Bravo XR drives, Hering 6 blade props or 5 blade B-Blades and was rigged at Skater. The boat runs 135mph full of fuel with 5 people in the boat and no porpoise at any speed. If anyone would like to talk to either one of them about this boat call Mike at Sterling or PM me for Connie's work number.

Would this happen to be the same Connie that had a 25 Daytona with monster power with a #5 behind it?

Last time I ask I was told no, that was at the Miami show. I have a 308 ready to be rigged now at the factory.

hay blume he ment my boat da back off

Swede 03-03-2011 10:13 AM

How long is the tunnel extension on the 308? I bet thats the cure. NASCAT is working on his tunnel tab so I guess will find out if it works.

Ptufaro 03-03-2011 11:39 AM

I would have guessed under 90 due to the hop not going away. But it looks fast, and sounds good.

JIMKID Motorsports 03-03-2011 01:40 PM

100 mph was playing around with weight thats why the hop was there at that speed normally goes away around 80 and takes a nice set

Your boat is clearly out of balance. I would start with 200lbs on the transom directly over the drives and go from there. The cg forward set up will cause this in many cases. Small cats are notorious for this "transition " hop but you should be able to mimimize it.

Good luck.

Thanks for the vid Jim!

Man, I'm ready to get my machine out after the Winter too. My new engines should be ready to roll pretty soon, so I'll be ready to return the favor on some fresh videos!

Are you turning your props in or out? Just curious is all, since I haven't had any experience with the 30. The boat sure is nice man!

Jim I really believe your all around performance will go up and your handling will as well. It may require more than 200lbs don't worry about the weight itself get the boat handling right and it will be a LOT safer and faster in the rough water.

That's becuse the bumpy water masks the problem. If it's right in the flat water it will be twice as good in the bump.

Sit tight wait until he gives you a report. He will be happy.
