Phantom Chaos...Yep, 1/8" aluminum diamond plate. Its actually pretty stout stuff, I thought it would be flimsy before I checked it out.

Vyper340...Glue down "rubber" type flooring. Similar to Pirelli flooring. Check out http://www.lonseal.com/index.htm

jbrauer...I had glue down carpet (yuk  ). I hate carpet in the cockpit area. Floor and adhesive was about $180.

Thanks Indy. Cheap $$$ for the results. You did a fantastic job.

Looks like another boat modification project for me next winter!!!

Jassman 05-21-2002 10:22 PM

Indy, that looks good, a nice and clean job. Is that flooring like Pirelli or is it more rubberized, I like the diamond plate engine compartment as well, Take Care.:D

Indy 05-22-2002 07:33 AM

Jazzman - Its not "rubberized" in the sense that its spongy. Its a fairly hard material similar to Pirelli but the coins are textured so its a non-slip surface. It is flexible though. Thanks...Steve

36spectre 05-22-2002 07:37 AM

Indy, do mine next????

eyezlee 05-22-2002 09:15 AM

Indy - Looks awesome! What did you do around the locker in the floor? Is that some kind of edging material? Is your real floor all one piece or did you cover up some joints with the new flooring material?

Indy 05-22-2002 12:20 PM

36pectre...Sure, why not...I'm unemployed at the present time :D Maybe this is my new calling.

eyezlee...There was a seam in my floor that was glassed. I feathered ALL edges around the perimeter and seam with 3M Marine High Performance filler. The floor is smooth and flat. In regardes to your question about the locker ring, its the original ring supplied by the Nordic. I painted it (it was a light grey color). This winter I'll remove it and have it powder coated for an extra durable finish.

Nice looking product.
Looks nice installed.

The product spec only mentions "indoor" use.
How will it hold up in the sun?
Did the sales rep say how it would hold up?
