If you don't need a cd player or mind a cd changer than the alpine is the best. That all we use

Also ck out the clarion cmv1. It has a cd/DVD player, full iPod control, 2 aux inputs, sat radio, color display, nice unit. Remotes are good too.

I just completed a system with the clarion Cmv 1. Also nice unit, just wish it had a dedicated sub woofer output. I like the fact that is DVD compatable. Have ours hooked into 2 Garmin 7212. We only used this because alpine doesn't offer a comparable radio with video outputs

Can anyone tell me the difference between the different remotes that Alpine offers . Their web site isnt very helpful. The offer the MC1, MC2, and each of them in a kit form, but dont tell you what you get as a kit, or the difference between the 2 models.

Hmm, checked out the Clarion stuff, may be an option. I had some Clarion pro audio stuff many years ago and liked it. How do their remotes work vs. Alpine? Last time I looked at Alpine my biggest beef was the delay in the wireless remotes, wired Clarion might be faster/better. What about sound, comparible quality? I really dont need all the options on the Cmv-1, is the sound quality of the lower level units still good?
