Works better with WD40 instead of the tire cleaner, it will displace the water and no harm to the electronics ..

I detail cars and thats an old trick. The problem with it, is that the cleaner gets on your belts and causes them to slip..therefore taking life out of your belts. The other problem is anything silicone base attracts dust and gunk. I would suggest just using the degreaser, unless you are showing the car. Oh and last thing..when spraying cleaner on the motor you tend to get overspray on the windows, fenders etc...and becomes more of a PTA to clean.
