K-Planes, how big is just right

My buddy has a 27 formula fast-tec v hull and wants to replace his ineffective bennett tabs with some good K-planes but the question is how big is just right. Power is 502 mag and bravo 1, speed around 65. Will the planes help in the rough stuff? Cats don't need K-planes so I have no clue. Thanks guys for any help. Doug

280s should be the best bet. 14" x 19" 380's are just two big

Ditto on the 280s. I just replaced the dual rams in my 260 Prowler with 280s and they work great. One note of caution, they respond a lot more quickly than the Bennets so you need a lot less "finger".
