Never owned one, but I would assume they use fuel very quickly. I know the 525sc's have a healthy appetite & they're a single carb.

LOTS haha. I've had them in 2 boats. I never did the math on the consumption but I'd guess cruise at about 25 gal/hr per. That was a 38 and 42 Fountain. I know WOT was over 130 gal/hr :O

Very thirsty! They are known to slurp up a Bravo or two also.

It's all in the sticks. The XR's are great. You just cant firewall them and expect nothing to happen. combined 300 hrs on 600/bracvo xr and never one problem. I did however have an issue with the head bolts on a set of 600's when I let Steve run the boat on his bday. Evidently they didnt like a 60 mile run at WOT LOL

B&M Mega Blowers aka 420's aka 6-71's.

My hopped up 525SC was very thirsty with a 177 supercharger and 1050 carb. It was about a gallon per 100rpm per hour. The 600sc has 2 700cfm carbs so I'm sure its even worse.

Are you looking at the Top Gun in the want-ads, I always wondered why that boat hasn't sold? Maybe fuel consumption is the reason.

Solid power plants pretty much on snooze, however they are very very thirst mills. It is also real hard to find the shafts for the B & M 420 blowers .The input shafts are the weakest link that I saw with our 600SCs.We broke both Port and Starboard shafts within 10 hrs or so at around the 240 hr mark.
