What a great boat Brian! Do you have any orders for more of them to come out of the mold?

Thank you. Yes we have some deals going down. Things are busy at the shop!

No to mention cutting down on weight. The new 4 strokes are getting lighter. I'd rather have my weight in the hull, not the engines. The day I start towing a boat if I ever get to Florida, it will be with an outboard.

That's where a CC outboard would pay real dividends, in salt water.

Also the good fuel mileage 1.5 to 2 mpg at a 45 to 50 cruise makes for good range with a 200 gal tank.

It looks like this is more of an outboard discussion than a CC discussion......:party-smiley-004:

It is no perception, it is fact. Outboards are more dependable primarily in the saltwater environment. In fresh water my inboard engines are reliable too. The close fitting cowling and the oily 2 strokes make for a huge anti corrosion advantage in saltwater. I think the 4 strokes keep the close fitting cowling advantage but lose the overall oiliness of the 2 stroke. I have run both types of engines for many years off and on or at the same time and I have never had corrosion on my outboards anywhere close to that of "car engines" adapted for marine use, in saltwater.

Ditto! My outboards are 375# and 300 hp and I can change one out at the ramp in an hour with two guys and be back out and running. To each his own. Just pokin fun with the car engine stab. Carry on!:angry-smiley-038:

In a nut shell... YES..

what about a 33 foot cat with a beautiful North Carolina flair and 10'- beam fishing/poker run boat, twin 350's that is about 70+ plus mph..would that sell in this market place..

Very true.....what I find interesting is everyone assumes a CC must also be a fishing machine.......I wouldt and havent fished on mine, not set up for it....its designed to go blasting around the bay and easier use for the family....both upsides

Most CCs are used as a sporty alternative to a deckboat/pontoon boat and not for fishing.
http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/a...bimini-034.jpg
Most CCs based off sportboat hulls arent actually liked by real fishing guys, too narrow and too tipsy .
When I lived in Palm Beach I would go a lot of sundays to
hang out on the intercoastal and it was a constant parade of
CCs most the day and not a single fishing rod on any of them..
