BEST way to remove mold???

I am looking at a boat that has some mold in the upper part of the hull, and below the cabin floor. Has anyone used or know of a product that really works?

Clorox cleaner with bleach should work. Be careful around any colored fabrics tho..

The most effective was to kill mold is as follows.

#1.open it up & Park a dehumidifier in at and cover the boat leave running for at least 2-3 days.

#2.Ozone generator - inspect to see everything is really really dry and run an ozone generator for 24 hours to kill all the mold.
(do NOT breathe in ozone!!!1)

3. wipe all surfaces with chlorox solutions.

That'll Get er done.

SlickNick,, be cautious when buying an older boat w/ noticable mold in those area's....Shows a lack of care and TLC from the current owner,, and you FOR SURE dont wanna have too spend alot of time/money after purchasing the boat....

Also, if there's mold,, how do the engine's run? have they been maintained and tuned up.....ya know?.... .02...:drink:

Cautious, yes, but you'd be amazed how fast mold spores can spread. A little water gets in, the wrong boat cover BANG. And a lot of people won't go near it because of mold fears. It's the new asbestos!
