Hydros on fountains

Hydromotive props have worked out great on my two Fountains. 1999 32 Fever with 502's and 2004 38 Lighting with 525's. My 32 came with four blade Hydros...I can't remember the pitch for sure but believe 27's. Also the boat came with Fountain steering...yes Fountain made it. The steering looked like Latham but the cylinders were a brushed finish not polished like Latham. My 38 came with four blade Merc Bravo 32P props but runs much better with 30 Pitch P5X Hydros.

I give you a bump to the top. Want to watch this thread. My fountain's test sheet used four blade hydros. But the previous owner provided me with two sets of 3 blade mirages. When I get motors back I'm going to test a bunch of props, starting with the hydros and bravos, from bb blades or throttle up. Mine has got Latham, but no decals indicating Latham. I know just because all instructions labeled Latham that came with the boat. Oh, steering fluid reservior has Latham on it.

Hyd steering was an option early-mid 90's if I recall correctly. My '94 didn't have it, My '99 does. Both boats, hydro props.
