I got tired of dropping them into the lake, too. If I took 'em off for a minute and slid them down in my collar, I would inevitably hear "ker-plunk" as they fell into the water when I bent down to untie a line or whatever.

I don't use real expensive sunglasses anyway - but I wised up and got a nice lanyard.
