To all... and note to self... while trying to re-solder the tabs on the new battery for my GPS speedo, too much heat on battery causes battery to explode... FYI... just buy a new antenna... lol

If you don't have a gps you can connect the antenna direct as I did.

Signal wire on my speedo was the orange. Unless you have an amp connector tool and a new connector and pins that fits the speedo it's easiest to cut the factory antenna harness and solder the orange wire to the NMEA output wire from your gps.

I was just headed to your side of town to ask you Thanks for the help I hope this works! Good idea I will also check it, just can't see why a battery change would affect the unit.
