Default I need help finding history on my boat

2003 Fountain 38 Cruiser. It has 500 EFI's with checkerboard blend black graphics. It was sold new by Legendary Marine in Destin , FL. It was sold in late 2002 and totaled by insurance company in September of 2004. Then it supposedly was titled in Oklahoma on Lake of the Cherokees. I'm wanting to know why it was totaled. Anyone remember this boat?

Theres no way to call the insurance company and ask the reason for total loss? Or even contact your own ins co and see if they can track the info down for you??

Thumbs up Help For Chad

Any help on this subject for Chad would be greatly appreciated.

The boat was apparently sold by Legendary Marine in Florida. From what we understand from Chad it was once totaled and we do not have any history of that.

What we know
1) Sold by Legendary in 2003 or 04.
2) Sold to broker in LOTO who then sold to a customer of ours with clean title in 2007. Apparently the LOTO broker bought from salvage then sold with clear title.
3) The boat was traded into us from customer in from OK with clean OK title in 2010.
4) SPM sold the boat to Chad and Chad had a problem with boat and then was told it had a salvage history which we cannot track 2010.

We would appreciate any help on this subject to help Chad out and understand the history.

Regards,

Hurricane Ivan occurred mid-September 2004. Many Florida panhandle boats were damaged.

Was it at GLOC when it went down? The reason I ask is that if it was still in Fl. in 2004, we had a he!! of a year for hurricanes that year, and I know 1 cane, IVAN that hit the gulf coast pretty hard!
Hope this helps....

I pretty much have it narrowed to Hurricane Ivan or Storm Frances. I talked to a guy who actually knew the boat but lost track of it 16 days before it was totaled
