Default The 9/11 Thread

I posted in another thread, but thought I'd bring it to the forefront. Was anyone else confused why a thread that has lived in this forum for almost 10 years was moved to the Political Section?

There was some good stuff in that thread, and I hoped it would never die. It was kind of an OSO memorial the way it came to the top every year. I think that's something that's important and should be public, not hidding in the Political section. 9/11 is not about politics.

The events on 9/11 have nothing to do with politics and should not have been moved there.

I agree 100%, the GD section is the heart and soul of this place. Should have been left here for that reason.

I can move it back, BUT it can not be a political feeding ground... All political posts will be removed!

I vote for Speedy to move it back. However, I also vote that EVERYONE keep the politics out of the thread.

I remember driving to work approaching downtown Houston with its 30+ skyscrapers actually looking at the tall buildings kinda zoning out when my Dad called me and said "Andy!! We are being attacked!! Someone just flew airplanes into the World Trade Center buildings and is bombing New York! Don't go to work through downtown!!!" Well it was too late. I was downtown shtting bricks looking at the Chase (75 floors) and Wells Fargo (72 floors) bank towers wondering if they would be hit too. It is EERIE to think back on that moment. I will never forget it.
