First real fast boat Allison bass boat. A 12 year old driving an 80mph bass boat. Not real sure what my Dad was thinking.

Amen brother! I've had 2 hydrostreams Vegas XT's, (have a 2007 now), but the boat that started it for me was my Grandpa's tri-hull with 35 hp merc, (1967ish). My first boat was a 1987 17' Checkmate Diplomat with 130 Hp Yamaha, and I too ran that thing like I stole it!:drink:

That's me at the helm ;) I learned to operate a boat on the 30' Velocity that dad had a year or so after the Baja. Hooked young!

My first boat was an old Aristocraft with a 65 Johnson. Still have it!

My dads 18' tri hull... Glastron or something like that (CRS), back in about 1979 or 80. Gold metal flake paint with a 302. I put a cam in it and some custom built transom exhaust :drink:

I thought it was the coolest thing around :cool-smiley-027:
