What are my polished SS lightnings worth?

Thinking about having new headers made, with longer collectors, wider tip separation and 5" all the way back. (doing new holes in transom) Can have mine modified and run spacers for extra valve cover clearance, but wondering what these are worth as I might sell and have new ones made. New is 4k.

These are perfect. Had them for 7 years I think. freshwater use only and boat is garaged year round until last summer, when I got a lift for it. They look as gorgeous as the day I got them. Are they worth $2500? $3000? $3500?

at that age i would think 50% of new.

Based on my years of testing different exhaust, you have a decent system and I doubt you will see more than + 5-15 HP on the dyno no matter what exhaust system you buy. This will equate to 0-1 MPH on the GPS.
You should be able to find upgrades that cost $1000-2000 per MPH.

Thanks Ben, mods or new are mostly for cosmetic reasons.
I love the headers and not looking for more performance out of a new set.
If I do new will likely be lightnings again. Doing 5" to the end because I like the big tips - and may do a slip in muffler. extra diameter is good. Also considering introducing the water further out since new motor is bigger and likely more cam. I haven't had any reversion issues, but better safe than sorry.

Anyway, would love more opinions. If glassdave is right I'll be keeping mine and mod-ing them.
