If you can get John Vanderstel at Pro Marine in Palmetto Fl to do them, he is on of the best around.

Both Jim Ruck and John Vanderstel are excellent! It would be worth giving them a call.

Jim Ruck does not rebuild engines only block work. Many of the names here are very good builders. I use Bill Gohr in Lake Villa IL. Do not use those engines until you get them rebuilt. Your compression is really low and the nick blocks are expensive to fix if you stick one. Do not let anyone talk you into porting them (Diamond is famous for this) They are plenty fast stock. Pleasure boats do not like port work like the drag boats. Only problem is you picked the busiest time of the year to rebuild engines.
