I own a 28' Sonic with a single BB. Just built and dropped in a new motor. Still dialing it in but was running consisent 70mph today (speedo #'s) Love the cabin its huge enclosed head, frig, two sinks, pull out shower head and it handles the rough stuff. No issues with porposeing on mine probably cause its a single engine. Not too many single 28 Sonics out there.

if you look for a twin then a 31 formula, 30 31 sutphen, 29 baja lots of room should be on your list. 28s saber either way,27 formula, a pre step fountain 27 = newer 29. old 29 = newrt 32 fountain.I have noticed sabers have deep drive heights which slow them down and I hope to have mine in the water late june with new everything plus a 100mph plus speed. my oso friends think there built very well and myself. wish I order a new hull so I could have changed a few more things but I saved about 15 grand compared to a new hull in the 28 to 30ft range and will keep it for life:coolcowboy:. I kind of hold on to things I like right Gerry ha ha. a 350 to 450 hp twin in 28 to 30ft range should burn about 35 to 45 gals a hour running with twins a single 420hp to 525hp about 25 to 35 a hour. my 650hp 24ol burns about 30 a hour running 3500 to 4500 rpm.

Sutphen 277 or 26 rum runner is a great choice

I had a Eliminator 28 v bottom and it was very good and felt like a bigger boat. It had a 502 with a Pro Charger pushing 7# and it could handle th power in2- 3 ft Havasu chop.

nice boats 26/30/31 but they don't make a 277 yet otherwise I would be building it instead of the 28 saber , I think because it will be close to 28ft when done I heard 2 yrs ago.

heeeheee I tried 2 yrs ago, sr wanted to much cake for the red 31 unfinished and its a 07 build. jr was working on other stuff trying to move some of the 21s, I think there still working on a deck for it. a 26 was not big nuff. saber28 should be in the water weeks from now, if it stops rain for a few days:grinser010:. after that theres my other boat to deal with, either sell it or get it running then sell it.:coolcowboy: working on the jeep to night:party-smiley-004:
