Looking for a wrecked ski boat

I am looking for a wrecked ski boat. Mid engine competition style Correct craft, master craft or comparable. Looking for something in real bad shape or damaged. The worse the better. Holes, sinking, crashing are all fine. Needed for a school thesis so I am going to hack the thing up anyway. Willing to travel.

Chris, look in the traderonline.com I live in StCloud, this area is ski boat capital of the world, there are tons of them around. Good luck:cool:

Yeah I have looked there. Nothing fit the bill. I need something that I can hack the hell out of and not feel bad. I am sure there are some insurance salvage ones around or 80's ones in real real bad shape. I know someone knows of something...please help. Will pay a finders fee.

if my memory serves me correctly he goes to the naval architechture academy here on LI in Glen Cove. However the name of the school escapes me at the moment.

Puder,

I should have read Sean's reply.

Yes I go to Webb Institute. It is a small college in NY soley devoted to Naval Architecture and Marine engineering. It is a very small place with only 68 -70 students who attend on a full scholarship. I am currently finishing my sophomore year and have tried to guide my studies to hydrodynamics, machine design and planing hulls. It is a different place but sure one heck of a school. I am looking for this boat to possibly be used in a thesis that would basically involve drilling about 200 pressure taps in the bottom then mesuring the pressures are different speeds and trim angles. Then investiating odd shapes to help increase pressure in some areas for lift and decrease pressure in others to reduce drag. It really does not need to be a ski boat but they are mostly what fits the bill. 18-22 feet must be shaft drive with a central CG that is a true planing vessel capable of speeds in excess of 30-35 knots.

I knew the name of the school, I just blnked on it. Its actually about a mile from my girlfriend's house. And i contemplated applying for a while but my grades just weren't good enough.
