Default Starters not engaging flywheel?

What's the trick to get the starter to engage the flywheel? First start this morning, and neither one of my starters will engage on 496HOs.

Thanks in advance!

Tried that. Tried a little WD-40 on the shaft too. (keep your mind out of gutter, KY didn't work either) No luck.

Poker Run this weekend, and luckily I found someone down the street who is installing new starters for me tomorrow.
