Brian now owns the boat and he does not need to cheat to win. Any good and successful racer in any type of
Racing will push the rules to the limit. Those that don't more than likely will not win . Probably not a better V hull driver out there or one that knows how to make one faster than anyone else. |

How many inspections are there ? Sounds like to me not many, What promps an inspection ? The Winner every race ? Or after a few wins ? Or not really any until enough complain ?
I'm (was) used to strict teardowns (car racing) and having to learn what the techs look for and what their knowledge is. to name a few. |

We've heard before how "awsome" Forhand is, usually followed by a penalty or a DQ after getting caught cheating. Obviously he DOES need to cheat to win, and he will keep on cheating till he gets caught... again.

Every in racing sport if there are rules the top teams are pushing the limits. I dont care if it's Boats, Nascar, Inycar, Jet ski's, off road trucks, snowmobiles, AMA motocross or super bikes, you name the race and someone is pushing the limits of the rules! If you can tell me about a sport of racing that someone isnt pushing the limits of the rules I'd like to know! Darn near every team in Nascar has had a DQ or penalty at some time for pushing the limits of the rules. So are all those drivers crappy then and now they need to cheat? I'm willing to bet every driver that has ever won a championship in the type of racing they do has pushed the limits of the rules and by your explanation they all suck and cant win without cheating. LOL I dont condone cheating but you obviously have a issue with Brian and Doc going back a long way. Guess what, they built a great boat, they are a great race team, Brian knows how to set up a boat, drive and win races. He learned from one of the best back at fountain. He must have pushed over the limit this time but after they found this "such terrible stuff that he cant win without" he went out and won again. LOL I guess he can win without cheating. Shot your theory out the window :eekdrop: Your sounding like those liberals that are mad they lost a election fair and square and now going to riot and trash everything because didnt get there way. |

Who knows, but wether or not this habitual cheater has the ability to beat the other guys in the class alone on talent has yet to be seen. From what I've heard a lot of people in the pits want to punch him in the face. |
Nice...
Name calling someone you don't know. What a tough guy you are! I don't need to say much else. Others can see how awesomely smart you are. I don't have a dog in the fight other than they went back out and won again after finding the so called magic why they win every race. Glad you heard others want to punch someone... Because they can't beat them I'd assume. Not sure what that proves or solves. |

You're an absolute moron. They probably had the fastest boat, but yet they were caught cheating. Was it to make up for others cheating? Lack of skill?

Also pretty easy to replace so called Talent with simple No Fear. You can have No Fear when you don't have to pay for anything, respect damage to other boats, and others . Brian is a hand grenade on the race course. Great to watch. I could care less if he hurts himself, but what about when he hurts someone else. If he is that talented why not race legal? It shouldn't be this hard. There is still a laundry list of illegal things on the boat. Cause if your going to cheat, don't piss off the guys making your stuff illegal. They like to talk. Its a small world. If most would accept the level these guys go to cheat it's kinda sad. Go put on your big boy pants, and race Superboat, but they know they can't buy checked flags there. Than there's Doc. He can be the nicest guy in the world, but than he cheats. So is he a nice guy, or a cheater? Can't be both. |
Edited post above... this is not relevant once edited.

They said yesterday on the live stream that the boats don't get inspected until the following day, so not sure if it has passed or failed as of yet

Funny, cheating in a pretend world championship.

Today Forehand speared points leader SunPrint in a turn, putting a hole in its side and ending the team's quest for a second straight world title. For all of you people who want to justify Forehand's serial cheating as "just racing," fine. Real racers know you don't interfere with the other competitors when you have no chance of winning a championship in the final race of the season. You stay out of the way and let the contenders battle amongst themselves. He's a disgraceful menace.

Missed that... ^ marker 17 boat looked fine the whole race

see how they ran after two tech inspections? OBRIEN!!!
|
So the good Doctor and his sidekick, "Chauffeur" decide that since they couldn't beat the competition, they would just take them out by running into them . Yet, some still rave about the walk-on-water skill of the amazing forehand and his trusty passenger. These two should be Barred from racing any sport involving an engine.
Sadly, SBI will keep taking the Doctors money and continue to allow Forehand and his passenger to show up for events. At least till the duo kills someone and everyone associated with SBI is named in the lawsuits. |
Wow that's fast I guess you have all the facts and you've decided who was right and wrong in this particular situation and you going to throw the blame on Sbi for not doing something for ridiculous reason like money. Kind of shallow in my opinion but again some people just love drama.
I'm sure SBI will look at the entire situation and review the facts not rumors and make an appropriate decision if it's necessary. If every boat was band that had an accident in the last 2 like the one in the Milling area last year and when the back-end of CMS was completely taken out in turn one when another boat ran right over the back of them. I'm not saying whos right or wrong but making ridiculous statements like that with no facts to back it up doesn't help the sport |
Unfortunately extreme
Norman and others apparently have a hard on for Brian. Don't bother arguing with them it's there view or nothing. Other boats collided Sunday but they don't want to apply the same rules to all people |
I don't know Brian and I am friends with Doc. My point is that if you want to say cheating is part of "real racing" then you must acknowledge so is staying out of the championship contenders' way in the last race of the season. Forehand took out the points leader on the final day, on the first lap no less. No "real racer" would put himself or herself in that position. Real racers know better. He needs a serious talking to IMO before he's allowed to race again.
|
If all those in his class want him out that's another thing all together
( hi mike A. ) |
My completely uneducated and totally non-scientific guess is that if you went back to the old key west courses, where 1 lap was as long as the entire race these days, people would be a little more spread out, you would have less people running into each other and racers wouldnt get dizzy from going around in little circles so fast.

And they love the course .they can actually view a large portion of the race . Weve been trying to reach the fans for years . Most seem to like it . some of you won,t |
When I raced Baja, i did it for me and my team, not the bushes, rattlesnakes and occasional mexican watching. In endurance racing your number one competitor is yourself. You have to go fast enough to hopefully win but not so fast as to tear stuff up. Thats the mental aspect of endurance racing. If i wanted to bang fenders and tangle bars I could have raced motocross or mickey thompson's. Fans watching or not, trying to run 50 foot offshore boats on a little course is like trying to mosh in the ballet, toes ARE going to get smashed.

So what Mike your saying is everyone but the person racing for the championship should just stay home and not race because if your not racing to win there is no purpose to racing.
Racing is a 2 way street for staying out of trouble. I'd put 1000$ that Brian did not intentionally take anyone out and very likely did damage to his boat also. See the idea is to get more boats involved not less. If your stand is everyone else should tread around the points leader? That's not racing in my book. |

I seriously doubt that one racer would put another in jeopardy purposely or risk damage to their own craft. Whether it be Nascar, Motorcycle racing, drag racing, etc., racers are always trying to get an edge and push the limits. In the process, rules are broken. Sometimes knowingly, sometimes not. I can tell you that I bought a boat from Brian Forehand sight unseen. He was upfront, honest and everything went smoothly without a hitch. He even had the boat delivered for free as and empty hitch was heading south for the races last year!! It was a pleasure dealing with Brian and Marker 17 Marine....

What does the racing organization say about all this ? And what have they done ?
