only on the 40PC they have NOT on the 40SS the diesels and pods are way to heavy for the 40SS

Pods are only efficient up to a certain speed. After that, stern drives win out because of less hardware drag in the water. Pods are, however, way, WAY more efficient than classic underwater shaft drives.

Why only to a certain speed? I see now that they would weight a lot more. 2000lbs each for the 600 and 5000lbs each for the one I mentioned. Love those pods though. I have yet to be on a boat with them but are supposed to be great!

The Herings came in for the 400SS.

Hit the limiters at 73 mph....
