22 Pachanga Motor Dynoed 420hp@5000rpm 470flbs@3500
I am ready to drop the motor in my 1988 22' Pachanga
Alpha Drive 1:36. Running a labbed 23 Mirage Plus. The motor started as 454 mag stock, out of a 1991 boat .Had the heads decked .030 ,Air Gap Intake 850 Holley. 226 236 Cam matched springs and Gold Series roller rockers and IMCO exhaust. It is a very mild set up. The Dyno went great tried several intake and carb combinations.
The Dyno guy was very very reasonable on the price.
The 850 and the new air gap gave the best results.
Here is my question, can anyone give me some GPS predictions on top speed? I am hoping for 75 mph but could live with 73 .
My best run with the 330 hp 625 Deamon ,RPM Performer Intake and Imco exhaust. 68.2 GPS very light load,I could run consistant 66-67 mph, with the 23 labbed
Can this new set-up break the 73 mph mark?

Hey No Budget I've got an '86 Pachanga with a 330, .060 over, stock manifolds both intake and exhaust, Ultradyne cam 276/276, KEith Black pistons and about 9.5/1 compression. I think I am making 375 hp and so far have run 4450rpm @ 60mph on the speedo. I am running a 25" Mirage. What heades do you have?
What spped did you run stock before your intake and carb upgrades?
Thanks,
Ken

Pachanga speed
I previously owned a 22 Pachanga and stepped up power myself. Probably the next thing you'll break is the Alpha drive. I installed a Bravo and lost a couple of mph but it lasted for years.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Anyone need a Grenande??
I agree with deboat,
The alpha is a week link!! I Had a formula F3LS 21ft with small block and alpha. Went big block mag and tore through the alpha drives like the women here at work tear through cupcakes . I ended up going back to small block.
Only advantage you have is the sea ray is probably much lighter. You need to watch your holeshots....or should i say eliminate them!! easy up on plane...torque will launch that drive.
On the other subject those speeds should be attainable!!
