Hope this clarifies.
Additional point of clarification/correction: The boat measures 29 feet with the bustle, which will be standard (I misunderstood Mike Fiore) and not offered as an option.

"We've been calling it the 28, but it's really a 29 and that's what we'll end up calling it," said Fiore, who'd just returned from a test run in the prototyple when he called about an hour ago.

How fast is the boat? "With a 525EFI, we're expecting it to run in the mid-90s," said Fiore. "We're almost there."

No way it's under $190k. Prob retail at like $240k and get a bump down for actual purchase.

Should be sweet, but a touch expensive for a 28(9) footer.

A touch expensive is putting it lightly at those prices.

You can buy one of many manufacturers boats and be into the same speed bracket for much less... or spend the same and be well into triple digits.

The boats price will be under 200K. Target range depending on options with a Mercury 525efi set-up will be around 165K.

Not sure if it's comparable but, the Hustler 29' Rockit with the 525 was $160k at the Miami show and they said it ran 85mph. I would think the OL is more $.

Mid 90's with a 525EFI would be darn impressive if the boat has a full cabin

I agree.

Also, to the point about buying other builder's boats that are capable of the same top speed for a lot less, yes, you can. But be sure you're comparing apples to apples. For example, the 28 has an epoxy/composite lay-up as compared to a conventional lay-up. That's something to consider. I don't think I'm going out on limb here when I say that Outerlimits builds an awfully nice, albeit expensive, boat.

Not dogging any of the other builders that offer a model in the same size range for less, just saying that for the sake of price comparison you need to compare custom to custom and production to production. There's more to any boat than top speed.
