I will really miss the scholarly and high class feel of Powerboat Magazine. The magazine was produced in such a way that it just oozed quality and integrity. I personally spoke with Gregg Mansfield (I think about that not-so-wonderful Miami Vice movie) and I met both Tom Newby and Bob Teague. I read Bob Teague, Matt Trulio and Dick DeBartolo, Jason Johnson and others with great interest and just loved Tom's photojournalism. I always appreciated the articles about the high rollers in the sport and the magazines' layout. Not to knock the remaining magazines (I take both editions of Performance Boats) but I will really miss Powerboat. I looked forward to every issue.

Great article Matt.

The final page has been turned on POWERBOAT, but remember one thing, it is just the close of a chapter in your writing and my photography. I feel at some point a new chapter will about to begin for many of us that worked so hard to provide the content for POWERBOAT.

If it isn't in Print, there will certainly be a need for it ONLINE !

Have a great weekend !

Matt,

You, Bob Teague, JT and the rest were simply a cut above any other high performance boating magazine. I was a subscriber for the last 20 years or so and looked forward to every single issue. I will truly miss the passing of Powerboat and everything it represented. Thank you!

Thanks everyone, for the kind words. Trust me when I say that the pleasure of writing for Powerboat, which really means writing for you, was all mine.

Tim Sharkey ... I can add to my great list of memories working late into the night with you at the 2010 OPA Worlds, you sorting images and me writing the news of Haggin's retirement, which we learned about a few hours earlier, online. Without question, you work as hard as you play.

There's so much to come. And so much more to do.

I knew that PB wouldn't last without the Warlock girls.
