Deadrise is measured at the stern, and in my opinion that matters if you are really running flat out. If you run slow when it gets rough, the initial deadrise can mean a whole lot more than the final deadrise.

Basically, figure out how you boat and look at the hull bottoms. If you slow down when it gets rough look for one with a really high number initial deadrise. if you run flat out, you'll want something that is more regulated across the board.

I am going to guess you boat on Lake Conroe based upon your location. With all the wind and boats it can get rough out on Conroe. You will want the hull with more deadrise.
