Deadrise on boats...

Does 3 degrees of deadrise make that much of a difference between 20 degrees and 23 degrees..Im looking at the difference between a stingray 230 sx and a Baja 245...Thanks...

It will make a good bit of difference when the water gets rough. You will want that extra 3 degrees.

Baja555 05-29-2011 08:20 PM

slower on smooth water But the extra dead rise will help your speed in the rough stuff. More dead rise = better ride no matter how you look at it!!

I noticed the difference between a 22 and a 24 but there's usually chop where I boat.

Our 32' mid-cuddy has a 24 degree deadrise and does very well in the rough twisted water (lots of cruisers) of Lake of the Ozarks. Not the fastest hull in the world, but great ride.
